The Big Pineapple has been recognised by the National Trust of Queensland as a national icon in recognition of its significant role in the tourism industry.
Set on 80ha The Big Pineapple is a working Queensland pineapple plantation nestled against a sub-tropical forest backdrop.
You can experience the plantation aboard our unique Plantation Train as it tours past exotic fruit trees, sub tropical rainforest and includes a demonstration on how to grow pineapples. It also visits our wildlife reserve where you can observe Australian native animals including koalas, wombats, emus, owls, birds and much more. Our Animal Nursery is a great children’s favourite, where they can touch and feed all the baby animals.
Ride on the Nutmobile as it tours leisurely through our mature macadamia orchard..
Enjoy the tropical views from our licensed family restaurant while enjoying a leisurely lunch or our famous parfaits and sundaes.
Our large gift shop has an extensive variety of souveniers, jewellery, gifts, confectionery and a unique range of pineapple jams, sauces, condiments and our famous home made biscuits, which are made fresh daily in our very own bakery.
