It is ready to eat when the vegies are soft and have reduced.
This is about 30 mins. It can simmer for a long time if you like just watch it doesn’t burn on the bottom.
You can adapt the recipe and change the vegies. Grandma used to put corn and French beans.
This is one of those meals that tastes better the next day.
It’s great for freezing.
My family put it on a slice of fresh white bread to eat.
My husband likes to add sauce on his.
I cook this for friends who have been sick.
One of my friends put it on a lettuce leaf.
So I have gone over my $10 but this actually made 4 adult serves and 2 serves for my kids. They are 4 and 5.
*Unfortunately our first challenger went over price, but saying that, this dish did feed a family of 4 adults and 2 children. Tell us below what you would change to bring it under the $10 mark.
