G-Force

G-Force was a heavily advertised movie that we were really looking forward to seeing these school holidays. I don’t often say this about kid’s movies, but we were a little disappointed. I found the plot of the movie wasn’t age appropriate to the age that like talking guinea pigs. I think most of the plot went over most kids heads. The kids were laughing when the guinea pigs said or did something funny, but the parts where the adults were talking the children in the theatre starting talking and getting bored.

The guinea pigs have been trained as special agents, but lose their funding to continue. They end up in a pet shop where they go their separate ways, while the ‘bad’ agents are trying to track them down.

The guinea pig’s assignment was to stop a company linking all the small appliances in the world, little did they know the company chip in these appliances turned them evil. (A great film to make your child scared of a coffee machine.)

The film has some funny parts, but overall most people in the theatre were talking while watching and trying to amuse younger children. I wouldn’t recommend this film to children under 7 and for anyone taking children under 13, expect a lot questions about how machines and computers work.
