What is BPA & Why is it harmful?
Bisphenol A, also known as BPA, is a harmful chemical neurotoxin used in the manufacture of plastics, most often the clear type. Alarmingly it is used to make baby bottles and children’s food containers. Studies show that children are at most risk had have the highest levels of bisphenol A.Through use, the plastic breaks down and leaches bisphenol A into liquids and food to which it comes into contact.

Bisphenol A is a developmental, neural, and reproductive toxicant. Scientists have shown clear links with very low doses of bisphenol A exposure to cancers, impaired immune function, early onset of puberty, obesity, diabetes, and hyperactivity, among other problems. For example, in one recent study, a single, low dose of bisphenol A administered to a newborn rat resulted in hyperactive behavior.
